Erica Battle, CPA

Principal

Erica Battle has over 15 years of public accounting experience. She joined GJC as a Principal in 2020.

Prior to GJC, Erica was a leading member of the Nonprofit group for UHY LLP for six years. Her experience includes providing attest services to various nonprofit organizations, board presentations of financial audits, best practices recommendations, and tax preparation services for nonprofit clients. Erica is a leader delivering GJC’s consulting services including outsourced CFO services, financial systems consulting, grant writing consulting, donor development and strategic planning.

As Principal, Erica is responsible for managing all facets of audits, reviews, and compilations for many of the Firm’s major clients. This includes scheduling and supervising client engagements and ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services to our clients.

Additionally, Erica leads various marketing initiatives to build awareness of the nonprofit practice group. Along with her broad scope of experience, Erica has presented numerous nonprofit education workshops and written several news alerts and industry articles.

She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the Society for Nonprofits.

She received her Masters Degree in Professional Accountancy from Walsh College, along with a B.A. in Art History from University of Michigan. She is licensed as a CPA in the State of Michigan.
